Amethyst Scarab Necklace
Featuring a carved Amethyst stone. The stone is set in 14k gold fill on sterling silver which has been oxidised and lightly polished. It hangs from a gold fill link and a dark oxidised 18” chain. The stone measures approximately 18mm x 13mm. Amethyst is a February birthstone.
The Scarab (kheper) beetle was one of the most popular amulets in ancient Egypt because the insect was a symbol of the sun god Ra.
