Ethiopian Opal Necklace
Featuring a beautiful Ethiopian Opal set in fine and layered sterling silver. The opal has a gorgeous array of colours flashing within it. The pendant hangs from a gold bronze link and an 18” sterling silver dark oxidised chain. The pendant measures 38mm, the stone is 15mm x 12mm approximately.
Like all precious opals, they display “play-of-color”—flashes of rainbow hues that shift with light and angle. Ethiopian opals are especially known for:
• Bright neon colors
* Strong reds and greens (rare in many opals)
• High transparency (often called “crystal opal”)

I bought this necklace as gift to myself for my upcoming birthday which is on June 9th ordered early to make sure it would get here on time but also to make sure it didn't go out of stock. So glad I did! The necklace came quick (I live in the US) and decided to take a peak to make sure it wasn't broken. It wasn't but it's so beautiful I broke my rule that I would officially open and wear the necklace on my birthday...I have been wearing it everyday:)

Very pretty boulder opal ring - it does remind me of the night sky. I can see that I will have to be careful with the setting as it is easy to catch the 'prongs' in certain materials, but I was aware of this when I purchased. Certainly recommend.
