Heart carved Quartz Necklace with 24k Gold
Featuring a hand carved clear quartz stone (20mm) set in fine and sterling silver. I have layered 24ct gold foil using the ancient technique of Keum Boo, under the stone, to make the heart carving pop. Keum Boo (meaning 'applied gold') is the process used to permanently bond a fine layer of gold to a fine silver surface. The pendant hangs from an 18” lightly oxidised sterling silver chain and hook closure.
The gold is slightly paler in real life.

I bought this necklace as gift to myself for my upcoming birthday which is on June 9th ordered early to make sure it would get here on time but also to make sure it didn't go out of stock. So glad I did! The necklace came quick (I live in the US) and decided to take a peak to make sure it wasn't broken. It wasn't but it's so beautiful I broke my rule that I would officially open and wear the necklace on my birthday...I have been wearing it everyday:)

Very pretty boulder opal ring - it does remind me of the night sky. I can see that I will have to be careful with the setting as it is easy to catch the 'prongs' in certain materials, but I was aware of this when I purchased. Certainly recommend.
