Keum Boo Opal Pendant
Featuring a Boulder Opal pendant, I have hand stamped the pendant and haphazardly applied slithers of 24k gold leaf, Keum Boo. The ancient technique of Keum Boo (meaning 'applied gold') is the process used to permanently bond the fine layer of gold to the fine silver surface of the ring, using only heat & pressure. I have then oxidised the piece so that everything pops! The opal measures 14mm x 9mm and is 3.55 cts. The pendant hangs from a dark oxidised 18” sterling chain and a 14k gold link.
