Featuring a gorgeous Peruvian opal which measures 18.5mm x 12mm and has a beautiful blue/green translucent colour and a dentric opal with mossy ferns. The pendants hand from gold bronze links and a lightly oxidised sterling 18” chain.
Peruvian blue opal is relatively rare and is only found in the Andes mountains near San Patricio, Peru. It is a very translucent stone with color similar to the Caribbean Sea. Depending on how the stone is cut it can be clear, scenic (showing varying degrees of colour ) or dendritic which has black fern like inclusions.
My style is organic and rustic. I pride myself on my attention to detail, however whilst I think attention to detail is important, I really don’t believe in perfection, I believe in handmade. So while you may find tool marks on my meticulously worked pieces, these are part of the blood, sweat and tears of creating.
