Rutile Quartz and Star Rutile Quartz Pendant
Featuring a star rutile quartz and blue tourmaline (has some natural inclusions) necklace. In a star rutile quartz, a black hematite crystal serves as an alignment point for the rutiles which line up in parallel bundles along each face forming a six-rayed star with a hematite center. This star rutile quartz is natural, and has some surface imperfections, pits & scratches. The lapidary artist left these to avoid removing material.
The stones are set in 14k gold fill and sterling silver. The charms hang with a gold bronze link, and a sterling silver 18” chain with hand forged links. The pendant drop is 55mm approximately.

So while you may find tool marks on my meticulously worked pieces, these are part of the blood, sweat and tears of creating**

I bought this necklace as gift to myself for my upcoming birthday which is on June 9th ordered early to make sure it would get here on time but also to make sure it didn't go out of stock. So glad I did! The necklace came quick (I live in the US) and decided to take a peak to make sure it wasn't broken. It wasn't but it's so beautiful I broke my rule that I would officially open and wear the necklace on my birthday...I have been wearing it everyday:)

Very pretty boulder opal ring - it does remind me of the night sky. I can see that I will have to be careful with the setting as it is easy to catch the 'prongs' in certain materials, but I was aware of this when I purchased. Certainly recommend.
